Our Approach

Our work is client-driven. We trust our client’s ability to know what they need and where they are in their process of healing. As therapists, we are here to witness and support while offering safety, care, and connection with our clients. We specialize in treating trauma, attachment disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, behavioral, and school difficulties.

Our primary goal is to eliminate barriers to mental health treatment and maximize the social, emotional, and academic success of our clients, their families, and the community at large. We function primarily under the co-operative values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality, equity and solidarity. In the tradition of co-operative founders, our therapists believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility and caring for others.

We utilize this democratic model when making agency decisions, working with clients and engaging with our community as it reduces the barriers of an oppressive and hierarchical system.

This model has created a foundation for treating each other and the community with kindness, respect, openness and a commitment to continued growth. Within this equitable framework, therapists who join our agency have a pathway to partnership.
